Major Duties:
1. Coordinate all activities related to applying transformed operational data in support of Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) Warfighter Exercises (WFX) throughout US Army Forces Command. Present emerging capabilities to enable customer utility as the capability develops over time, and to elicit and gather software requirements from customers as they are informally expressed.
2. Acquire operational parameters of transforming data from Operational Environments and refine transformed data to fit exercise scenarios as needed to enable enhanced training and leader development during MCTP WFX. Liaison between the Data Transformation Lab (DTL) and the MCTP customers to ensure users understand how to levy capabilities to meet operational requirements and to update technical capabilities as needed.
3. Serve as the local subject matter expert on all issues related to data transformation including data transformation processes, procedures and tools. Gather and transform scenario parameters to replicate Operational Environments to meet scenario specific training and education requirements.
4. Assist with development and coordination of midterm, long range plans and schedules for support to MCTP Operations Group exercise schedule. Provide recommendations as to the scope and objectives of DTL support of MCTP exercises. Train exercise support personnel through technical proficiency on the use of DTL tools in order to enable dynamic data ingestion of message traffic during exercise. Provide analysis, assessments, and recommendations to further capability development efforts. Capture end of exercise data for inclusion into the TBOC Data Repository and collect customer feedback for DTL internal evaluations. Participate in weekly teleconferences with DTL functional managers.
5. Liaison between other Enablers, Training Brain Operations Center (TBOC) personnel, exercise planners, scripters, and command and support staffs to insure that all necessary scenario parameter information is received, analyzed, and useful for technical implementation for each Ft. Leavenworth rotation that requires DTL support.
6. Capability Enabler is a critical link between the capability and the customer and functional roles of the team and will be responsible for innovating and adjusting processes to best facilitate rigorous training on a replicated Operational Environment.
7. Duty is at the Fort Leavenworth, KS.
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years experience as an Intelligence Analyst supporting current operations of Operation Enduring Freedom and/or Operation Iraqi Freedom.
- Extensive operator/analyst knowledge of Distributed Common Ground Station ? Army and other Army Battle Command Systems
- Prior experience as a DCGS-A embedded mentor highly desired.
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office suite with a focus on PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to work independently with initiative and innovation
- Ability to provide guidance and liaise among various functional capabilities at their site
- Ability to travel up to 50% of time
- Active DOD Top Secret Clearance with access to SCI.
