The Veterinary Healthcare Group, within Advanstar Communications, which serves a nationwide professional veterinary audience has a current opening for an associate or assistant editor to assist in the creation of print, Web, and e-media content. Magazine and Web-related responsibilities include helping to plan editorial and graphics, helping coordinate workflow, conducting research and writing articles, editing manuscripts, proofreading, and overseeing special projects all in a deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in journalism, communication, or English with one to two years experience in a supporting editorial role or related job. Proficiency with desktop publishing software, InCopy/InDesign, and Dreamweaver or GoLive required. Must possess strong writing, editing, verbal communication, and organizational skills. Must also be flexible, stay cool under pressure, and collaborate well.
