Job Description and Qualifications Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a Chemical Plant Operator at its Wichita, Kansas facility.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Manufacturing and distribution of chemical products including loading and unloading materials,
drumming of products and responsibility for the manufacturing process.
* Follow production schedule and manufacturing procedures
* Provide troubleshooting expertise for the production units
* Fully participate in Production BSP process at the plant
* Coordinate work with other Operations Techs and Maintenance personnel
* Interact with staff personnel to maintain operation of plant

Position qualifications are:

* Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalency
* Two-year Associate Degree in a technical field a plus, but not required
* Must have good written and oral communications skills
* Must be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts
* Experience in a batch type chemical manufacturing facility or other industrial plant experience is preferred.
