Position Summary
Performs a wide variety of complex, analytical and administrative duties, which includes drawing review, planning, estimating, preparing quotations, issuing and controlling production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews drawings to determine work scope, material and processes needed
- Reviews, as needed, parts and material planning activities, ensuring accuracy of the plan
- Prepares, reviews and generates job orders and/or purchase order requests, with supporting technical documentation, for the production or procurement of components or parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements
- Coordinates complex technical information, as needed, with Quality, Operations, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering and Program Manager
- Assists with analyzing, monitoring, and controlling delivery projections versus requirements, identifying actual or potential material shortages
- Informs Program Manager of any engineer changes or potential production problems that impact the status of work in progress
- Provides, as needed, detailed technical recommendations for, or otherwise initiates recovery plans to eliminate or preclude shortages, including resolving unique inventory problems or critical delinquencies attributable to suppliers
- Identifies raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules
- Assists Program Manager and Marketing in creating customer orders in the system, when required
- Analyzes supplier s technical capability
- Creates complex new Bill of Materials in Syteline system, as needed
- Provides technical advice on any KC-10, KC-X parts support, KC-135 and Padway
- Provide technical information needed to send to vendors for customer requires for manufactured parts
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements :
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and five years experience working as a machinist, estimator, planner or inventory control analyst
- Ability to interpret blue prints, drawings, specifications, operations sheets and material requirements
- Proficient in use of Syteline ERP system
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn other industry-related software
