Job Description
The Student Office Assistant greets/assists visitors and answers/directs phone calls in a pleasant and professional manner.  This position is also responsible for general office administration including photocopying, scanning, running errands, and other duties/projects as assigned.  We are looking for someone who is a self-starter (able to take initiative and seek out projects/work rather than waiting for projects), reliable, trustworthy, customer service-oriented, able to work well within a group or independently with minimal direction, and enjoys working in intercultural environment. 

Work schedule will be determined by supervisor.

Required Qualifications
  • Federal Work Study funds as part of his/her financial aid package.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 1 credit hour to work during the summer.
  • Good written and oral communication skills (written skills will be examined via letter of interest; oral skills will be evaluated during personal interviews). 
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Advertised Salary Range
$8.00 per hour.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated graphic design experience using Adobe Suite software especially InDesign, Acrobat, and Photoshop.
  • Experience collaborating with team members in day-to-day activities and special projects.
  • Experience preparing materials such as invitations, RSVP management, promotional materials, nametags, certificates and program packets.
  • Flexibility in schedule with advance notice to attend events onsite to assist with setup and check-in processes.
  • Past work experience in an office setting demonstrating the ability to maintain an assigned schedule.
