    Velocity Staff, Inc. is working with our strategically growing client in Kansas City, KS to fill an expansion position within their IT Services Delivery team. They have collaborated with us to identify a talented IT Asset Management Specialist to join their team on a direct hire basis. The role of IT Asset Management Specialist within the client organization is critical to both the business as well as the technology services teams. The right candidate will be repsonsible for developing solutions that define, deploy, and manage all phases of the enterprise hardware ITAM process. This position is responsible for managing agreements and relationships with vendors as well as ensuring the enterprise is equipped with appropriate hardware to fit the needs of associates. The right candidate will work to develop more effective and efficient processes through researching, developing, driving and delivering solutions including technology solutions that improve the IT Asset Management Process. He/She will be responsible for identifying, defining and deploying best practice for enterprise wide ITAM and perform audits and regular reviews of both the process and assets.     Responsibilities

    • Maintain IT hardware asset inventory
    • Build and maintain automated IT asset inventory capabilities
    • Manage agreement for leased hardware assets
    • Ensure sufficient stock of IT hardware to fulfill requests
    • Develop and implement asset management processes and procedures for enterprise
    • Identify, define, and deploy best practices for enterprise ITAM
    • Coordinate lifecycle, procurement, maintenance and decommissioning of IT assets
    • Coordinate warranties and service agreements
    • Define standards and ensure guidelines and controls are maintained
    • Preform audits and regular inventory reviews
    • Develop and implement device shipping and receiving processes and standards
    • Deploy and manage ITAM Toolset
    • Build and maintain relationship with selected hardware vendors
    • Develop and maintain PC imaging process
    • Generate IT hardware asset reports to assist management in forecasting hardware needs
    • Work with other departments to ensure project hardware needs are met

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Associates degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technical field or project management preferred
    • 3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management
    • Experience with multi-location coordination of technical resources
    • Experience managing leased assets
    • ITAM, CITAM, CHAMP industry certifications preferred
    • ServiceNow ITAM module experience a plus
    • ITIL Certification
